WHAT IS AJUMA?

Ajuma is a web / mobile-based platform designed to help customers receive high-quality services from local professionals. Ajuma connects skilled professionals and customers for contract work via a bidding marketplace. Customers can post a job request to the public market, local professionals are then notified and can either accept the job or submit a bid that they think is fair for the work. When a customer accepts a bid, a contract is created between the two parties, payment is held, and the job location, as well as a system chat, are revealed to the service provider. Once a service provider completes a job, they upload photos to the app to verify the job is complete. The customer then approves the work, and payment to the service provider is complete.  

HOW DOES AJUMA WORK?

Ajuma requests services and receives services within the app to allow customers to receive services and workers receive jobs.
A worker or a customer has to download the app on their phone and go through the sign-up and verification process to be able to request jobs or receive jobs.

HOW DOES AJUMA BENEFIT A CUSTOMER?

Ajuma makes it seamless for a customer to find the closest and most affordable skilled workers, for jobs that they(customers)have requested through the. The app helps the customer to either schedule the Job for later or Receive the service instantly or within the shortest possible time.

HOW DOES AJUMA BENEFIT A WORKER?

Ajuma makes it seamless for a worker/ service provider to receive job requests based on their skillset category of choice when they were registering on the Ajuma platform. The providers receive the jobs on their cellphones instantly when a Job is available to them in their area or whichever area they move to. Ajuma will look at the closest matchable worker available to the closest request and match the worker to a job. This helps workers to be able to receive jobs at their convenience and set their schedules when they want to work. Ajuma will help provide daily income to workers.


HOW DO AJUMA CUSTOMERS PAY FOR SERVICE REQUESTS?

AJUMA customers will be able to pay for their service requests/ jobs they want to be completed, through the app. The app is connected to the major mobile wallets available such as MOMO, Tigo/Airtel, and Vodafone. Visa or Mastercard are also available.

HOW DO AJUMA WORKERS GET PAID?

AJUMA workers will get paid for their services completed through the app. The app is connected to the major Mobile wallets, MOMO, Tigo/Airtel, and Vodafone. Payments for services rendered will go directly into their Mobile wallets of choice weekly without a fee, or instantly with a small fee. 

IS AJUMA FREE?

Ajuma is free to download, although there are service fees for both the customer and the Service provider.

WHAT DOES AN AJUMA SERVICE PROVIDER NEED TO GET APPROVED TO USE AJUMA?

An AJUMA service provider needs to have a Government Issued ID which can be Passport, Voters Registration Card, National Identification Card, and/or Driver's license. They will also need to be able to verify that the mobile phone number used for registration, is Connected to the Name shown on the ID of Choice for Registration.

In special cases where professional services are requested, certificates of registration need to be provided to prove that these professionals are indeed qualified to perform the jobs they accept and agree to complete. Although Ajuma cannot ascertain or guarantee the outcome or quality of the final professional service that will be rendered
